Caravan torched in arson attack

A CARAVAN was deliberately set alight in Dinnington this morning.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Birley Moor, Parkway and Aston stations were called to the arson attack on Leicester Road at 6.25am and came away at 7.50am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

A crew from Aston station was called to a garden shed and conifers on fire on Elm Tree Close, North Anston, at 1.50am today, added the spokesperson.

The fire is believed to have been accidental and the crew left the scene at 2.45am.
