Car smashes into bungalow

AN ELDERLY couple were left shaken after a car crashed into their bungalow.

The collision, involving a Hyundai Coupe, happened on Lime Grove in Swinton at just before 9pm last night.

The couple in the bungalow were uninjured. The two men in the Hyundai were taken to Rotherham General Hospital for a precautionary check-up.

Fire crews from Mexborough, Brampton and Rotherham made the scene safe and called out a gas engineer to fix a damaged external pipe.
