Car hits wall at Ickles viaduct

A MOTORIST was injured when his Mini hit a wall near the Ickles viaduct.

Police appealed for witnesses after the crash, which happened shortly after 8pm on Saturday.

The 39-year-old male driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries, officers said.

He had been travelling along Sheffield Road from Tinsley towards Rotherham.

Anyone who saw what happened, or saw the vehicle before the crash, is urged to call 101 quoting incident 780 of December 15.
