Car fires in North Anston and East Dene

A crew from Aston station were called out to Common Road, North Anston at 11.20pm last night (Sunday) to find a Ford Galaxy ablaze.

The cause of the fire was accidental and the crew left the scene at mifnight, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said. 

A crew from Rotherham station was calledto East Dene in the early hours of this morning (Monday) to tackle another car on fire.

They attended Far Lane at 12.50am to a Vauxhall Combo set alight. 

"The crew left the scene at 1.05am and the cause of the fire was deliberate," the spokeswoman added.
