Car fire in Mexborough was accidental

FIREFIGHTERS were called to Mexborough last night (Thursday) to deal with an accidental car fire.

A crew from Dearne station was called to Addison Road at 8.10pm where a Vauxhall Corsa was on fire, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

They left the scene at 8.45pm.

Crews from Edlington and Doncaster stations were called to Queen's Crescent, Edlington, at 11pm, where a vehicle on the back of a trailer was on fire.

They spent around 15 minutes tackling the deliberate blaze, the spokeswoman said.
