Car driven into Goldthorpe supermarket

A CAR was purposely driven into a supermarket before bursting into flames.

The incident took place at the Aldi supermarket, Barnsley Road, Goldthorpe, at around 11.15pm on Sunday.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Dearne and Adwick spent around 40 minutes at the scene.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for more information.
