Car crashes into building in Rotherham town centre

A DRIVER escaped unhurt after crashing into a shop in Rotherham town centre.

The blue Volkswagon Polo hit a shop unit on Howard Street - currently vacant but last used as the Advertiser's town centre office - at 3pm yesterday and ended up lodged against the building.

A police spokeswoman said the driver was not injured.
