Car and rubbish torched in Goldthorpe and Thurnscoe
ARSONISTS torched a car and rubbish in the Dearne Valley overnight.
A car was set on fire at 3.35am this morning on Elizabeth Street, Goldthorpe. Firefighters from Dearne station attended and left the scene at 4.20am.
Dearne firefighters were called to a rubbish fire at 5.10am on Tudor Street, Thurnscoe, and came away from the area after 25 minutes.
The cause of the two fires are believed to be deliberate, said a spokesperson from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
