Car and rubbish fire require callouts
A FIRE crew was called to tackle a car on fire on Wednesday in Swinton.
Officers spent 20 minutes dealing with the incident on Highmill Avenue after being called at 10.30pm.
No cause for the fire has been established yet.
Meanwhile, rubbish on waste ground in Canklow was deliberately set alight at 7.30pm on Wednesday.
Fire officers spent 15 minutes tackling the blaze on Rother View Road after they were called at 7.30pm.
