Car abandoned 'upside down in tree' after veering off Kimberworth road

The car was left abandoned this afternoon.

A CAR was left "suspended upside down in a tree" and abandoned after it veered off the road near Kimberworth this afternoon (Thursday).

The incident happened near to New Wortley Road at around 1.30pm.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said officers responded to reports of an "abandoned car suspended upside down in a tree".

"The driver had left the scene when police arrived and the car has now been recovered and officers are investigating," she added.

"If anyone was in the area and saw anything, or has dash cam footage which might help our investigation, call 101, quoting incident number 0413 of April 4."
