A CANNABIS factory has been uncovered by police after they were called to an attempted burglary in Rawmarsh.
Officers were called to a house on Wheatcroft Road at 9pm on Tuesday evening after reports were received of a break-in.
They ended up finding 150 cannabis plants in various stages of growth and 179 sapplings, said a police spokeswoman.
"The plants were spread over three rooms in the property," she added.
"Officers kept the property secure overnight and Rotherham North Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the address the next day to seize the cannabis."
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
