Candle sparks fire in Canklow
A CANDLE sparked a fire at a property in Canklow last night (Tuesday).
Firefighters from Aston, Maltby and Rotherham stations were called to the accidental fire on Rother Terrace at 10.30pm and left the scene at 11.35pm, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
A crew from Rotherham was called to an HGV trailer fire on Rawmarsh Road, Northfield, at 1.30am today (Wednesday), added the spokesperson.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and the crew left the scene at 2.25am.
