Buy off plan at Kingfishers Walk

Taylor Wimpey has unveiled plans for a collection of elegant new homes, to be completed early 2011, at their popular Kingfishers Walk development at Wath-upon-Dearne, near Rotherham.

The latest release from Taylor Wimpey at Kingfishers Walk includes a range of family sized semi-detached homes in four designs – the Millstone, the Cranworth, the Eden I and the Eden II – with prices starting from £174,995.

All four designs feature particularly spacious three-storey family accommodation  ties to the master bedroom as well as at least one other bathroom.

In each, a welcoming entrance hall leads to a beautifully designed fully-fitted kitchen with breakfast area in addition to a large lounge and dining area with French doors leading onto the rear garden. All have a convenient ground floor cloakroom, single garages and a private garden.

Early purchasers who buy “off plan” at Kingfishers Walk will have a choice of which plot they desire and can have a major input into the decoration and fittings of their new home – all for an initial reservation fee of just £500.

Taylor Wimpey regional sales and marketing director Anne Bagshaw says: “The latest release of superb family homes at Kingfishers Walk offer an ideal opportunity for buyers to put down a very small holding deposit to secure their dream home. The first few purchasers will also be able to choose from the selection of plots available and select what fixtures and fittings they want in their new home.”

Anne added: “This is a lovely development close to a lake and a new golf course with walks nearby as well as the wetland centre and nature reserve.  Residents can easily walk into Wath so it’s very convenient for shops and schools. There is also a large retail park nearby and a big Tesco, so residents have everything they need on their doorstep.”

Kingfishers Walk is part of The Waterfront, an impressive new 285 acre scheme of homes, office, shops and leisure facilities in Wath.  It currently includes a nine hole golf course, a driving range, and a 45 acre lake with boat house.

Recently opened is a hotel, supermarket and a family pub.  Wath itself is also well-known as the venue for the biggest folk festival of its kind in the region, held every May bank holiday - a community event with traditional dancing, street performances, a children’s festival and the famous throwing of bread buns from the Parish tower.
