Busy night in Edlington for firefighters

RUBBISH was deliberately set alight in two locations in Edlington last night (Thursday).

Firefighters from Edlington station were called to a rubbish fire on Staveley Street at 9.10pm and tackled the blaze until 9.40pm, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

A crew from Edlington was called to Queen's Crescent at 10.35pm after rubbish and fencing was set alight and left the scene at 10.50pm, she added.

Both fires were started deliberately, said the spokeswoman.
