Businesses, neighbourhood projects and under 18s fundraisers — we need you.

There’s less than a month to go until the closing date for our community awards 2019, and the entries are flooding in — but we need more, particularly in the corporate contribution to the community, neighbourhood project of the year and fundraiser of the year under 18 categories.

So if you know anyone, any business or community scheme you believe deserves to be nominated, then what are you waiting for?

We are on the hunt to find the best:

Fundraiser of the year under 18  

Do you know an individual or group of people under 18 who has/have shown incredible dedication or effort in raising money for a charity or good cause in the borough?

Young achiever of the year under 18     

This award recognises the success of young people achieving their aims or goals while overcoming substantial barriers to transform their lives.  

Carer of the year             

An individual who has shown commitment and dedication above the call of duty to help maintain or improve an individual’s life/way of life.

Volunteer of the year under 18

This award is to recognise a young person who has shown enthusiasm and commitment to an organisation or cause, and made a real difference.

Volunteer of the year over 18

This award is to recognise a person over 18 who has shown enthusiasm and commitment to an organisation or cause, and made a real difference.

Unsung hero            

Do you know a special person who goes above or beyond for their community? Who quietly gives a lot but never gets the recognition they deserve? This is the category to nominate them for!

Outstanding Bravery    

This award recognises individuals or teams who have demonstrated an outstanding act of bravery, which without their intervention could have led to significant harm to others, damage to property or even the loss of life.

Corporate contribution to community                

A business or individual who have/has shown a willingness to invest in their local community or project.

Community contribution

An individual or group who has/have given their time to improve elements of their local community.        

Lifetime Achievement                

An individual or organisation that has shown a willingness to constantly contribute to their community over a significant number of years to make it a better place.

Neighbourhood project of the year       

We are looking for local heroes on your street or in your community whose acts of kindness sets them apart.
