Bus fire in Dalton was accidental

FIREFIGHTERS were called to an accidental bus fire in Dalton on Saturday.

Crews from Central station in Sheffield and Rotherham station were called to the accidental blaze on Doncaster Road at 9.05am.

They left the scene at 9.35am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were also called to a small fire in bushes on Kimberworth Road, Bradgate, at 5.55pm on Saturday, the spokesperson added.

The fire was next to a sub-station and cables had overheated.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally and crews came away at 7.25pm, the spokesperson added.
