Bus fire at Rotherham station was accidental

A BUS was damaged in a fire at Rotherham station yesterday (Thursday).

Firefighters from Rotherham and Maltby stations were called to Rotherham Bus Station at 5.05pm to put out a single-decker bus which was "well alight", a spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

"Two breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire," said the spokesman.

The fire was out by 5.40pm and was started accidentally, he added.
