Burglars steal cash machine after “van rammed” Whiston Co-op

BURGLARS stole a cash machine in the early hours of this morning after using a van to “ram” the shuttered door of the Co-op in Whiston.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called just after 3am this morning, Wednesday, March 2, to reports of a burglary at the Co-op on Worrygoose Lane, Whiston. 

“It was reported that an ATM machine was stolen from the Co-op, after a van rammed into the shutter door. 

“The ATM and van were recovered a short time later. 

“Enquiries are ongoing at this stage.”
