Burglar flees Aston shop empty-handed after alarm sounds

A BURGLAR broke into a convenience store before fleeing empty-handed when the alarm sounded.

The incident happened at the McColl’s shop on Worksop Road in Aston at around 3.30am on Tuesday, January 2.

A police spokeswoman said nothing was reported to have been taken in the incident.

Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 104 of January 2.
