THREE men have been jailed over the attack from which a 38-year-old Rotherham dad died.
Brock Playforth, Liam Green and Kyle Beech were locked up this afternoon at Sheffield Crown Court for the manslaughter of Danny Dix, of Munsbrough.
Playforth, who was also convicted of attacking Mr Dix’s friend, Tyrone Wilkinson, was sentenced to a total of 11 years, Beech to nine years and Green to six.
Mr Dix died in March last year, a week after being attacked in Bridgegate in Rotherham town centre.
His family had to wait a year for his killers to be found guilty of his manslaughter and almost another three months more for the three to be sentenced after court proceedings were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Green (23) and Beech (27), both of Maltby, and Playforth were convicted in March of manslaughter.
Playforth, (25), of North Anston, was also found guilty of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Wilkinson.
Beech was also convicted of affray.
Green and Playforth, along with four other men, previously admitted affray in connection with the death and the four other men will be sentenced at a later date.
