BREAKING: Emergency services at scene of Wellgate incident

EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a town centre road traffic collision - thought to involve a pedestrian and a lorry.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue was called to the scene on Wellgate outside Pak Supermarket at 11.53am today and two crews from Dearne station along with crews from Rotherham and Aston are currently at the scene.

An eye-witness said he believed a pedestrian was trapped under a lorry.

Fire crews are still at the scene.
