Police are wanting to find the driver of this car to assist with their enquiries.

A NINE-year-old boy on a pedal bike was seriously injured after a "hit and run" in Aston.

Police said they believed the youngster had been riding his bike in Wesley Avenue at 6pm on Saturday when he was involved in a collision with a black or dark-coloured Seat Leon, which was then driven away.

"The boy was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries - he remains there in a stable condition," added a police spokesperson.

Officers have released an image of a car they are hoping to identify in connection to the incident as they believe the driver may hold information that could help them in their enquiries.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quoting incident 783 of September 18.
