Boxing Day burglar who stole Eastwood garage safe avoids jail

A BURGLAR who stole a safe from a garage on Boxing Day has been given a suspended jail sentence.

Richard Pollard (28), of Mount Pleasant Road, Masbrough, broke into Eastwood Auto Repair on December 26, 2017, and stole a safe and its contents.

He was given a ten-month jail sentence, suspended for 18 months, at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday after pleading guilty to burglary at a previous hearing.
