Bookings 'safe' at Aston Hall Hotel, say bosses

THE COMPANY behind popular wedding venue Aston Hall Hotel has gone into administration.

Tomahawk Hotels Ltd and its partner company Tomahawk Holdings Limited have been placed in the hands of BDO LLP business restructuring partners, Sarah Rayment, Graham Newton and Shay Bannon.

A spokeswoman for BDO confirmed yesterday that Aston Hall Hotel would continue operating as usual and that no employees had been affected.

She added: “All bookings will be honoured and the hotel will continue to take bookings as it is continuing to trade as usual.

“BDO have appointed BDL Management to oversee the management of the hotel.

“All events including wedding fayres should go ahead as planned.”

The spokeswoman confirmed that Tomahawk’s two directors have been made redundant but said that BDO had not revealed whether or not a buyer was being sought.

She added: “The joint administrators are conducting an appraisal of the financial affairs of the companies and at present envisage that the three hotels will continue to trade.

“I can not give any details at this stage about the company’s accounts or background to the administration however it is fair to say that the recession has had an impact on the hospitality industry.”

Tomahawk bought Aston Hall in 2005 and carried out a major refurbishment project including an extension which was opened in 2008.

Tomahawk also operates Bradford's Great Victoria Hotel and the Woodlands Hotel in Leeds.
