Bookies staff in machete raid terror

MASKED, machete-wielding robbers terrified staff in a night-time raid on a Rotherham bookies.

Frightened cashiers at the William Hill betting shop on Ox Close Avenue, Kimberworth Park, were forced to hand over £350 in cash to two armed men who burst in to the premises at 9.20pm on Saturday.

The men, one carrying a machete-style knife and the other a hammer-type weapon, demanded staff open the safe, but fled after being told it was not possible.
