Bluebell Wood's Colour Dash postponed until summer

BLUEBELL Wood’s Colour Dash has been postponed because the Rother Valley Country Park course is waterlogged.

The event had been set for April 28 but has now been put back until Saturday, July 14.

Park bosses said recent heavy rainfall meant the ground would not be dry enough by the end of this month.

Bluebell Wood senior events fundraiser Rachel Hodges said: “We’re really sorry that we can’t hold the Colour Dash on April 28 but the conditions have left us with no choice. We have to put the safety of participants first.

“We would like to thank everyone who has registered already and we hope as many as possible will still be able to join us in the summer. Your support means so much to us, and makes all the difference to our families.

“Our colourful course is completely family and wheelchair friendly, whether you want to walk, jog, run or wheel around the course.

“This event has sold out every year for the last four years, so anyone who'd like to take part should sign up soon.”
