The court heard that he had used his daughter’s blue badge to park his vehicle in a designated disabled bay on Howard Street while his daughter was at school.

Carlos was fined £60 and ordered to pay £100 costs and the £15 victim surcharge.

The council’s parking services manager, Martin Beard, said: “This is the 21st successful prosecution the council has achieved for blue badge fraud.

“This demonstrates our commitment to stamping out this crime, which causes significant disadvantage to people with genuine needs.”
