Blades stars help launch Bluebell Wood charity walk

HIGH flying footballers took time out to support a Rotherham children’s charity.

A group of Sheffield United players joined staff from Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice to help launch this year’s Midsummer Walk.

The event at Rother Valley Country Park on June 19 will also feature a summer fete which is free to enter.

To take part in the sponsored walk around the lake at Rother Valley, adults are asked to pay £7 with children’s entry fee at £3. A family ticket for two adults and three children is also available for £18.

All walk participants receive a commemorative keepsake.

The fete will include arts and crafts stalls, live entertainment, clog dancing and refreshments.

The fun starts at 6pm with the walk at 7pm.

All proceeds from the event go to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
