Blackstock and Millers part company

STRIKER Dexter Blackstock has finally left Rotherham United.

The 31-year-old officially parted terms with the club today after several months of speculation.

An Alan Stubbs signing last September, Blackstock arrived after spending seven seasons at Nottingham Forest, playing almost 200 games.

Rotherham never saw anything like the best of him and he made only a handful of appearances, scoring just once, in a defeat at Norwich last October.

His contract, which had two years left to run, has been terminated by mutual consent.

Meanwhile, Manchester City U23s have been drawn in Group H of the Checkatrade Trophy alongside the Millers, Bradford and Chesterfield.
