Billy Jones and Lewis Price extend deals at Rotherham United

EXPERIENCED pair Billy Jones and Lewis Price have extended their stays at Rotherham United by penning new one-year contracts.

The deals keep the pair at AESSEAL New York Stadium until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Although neither right-back Jones (33) or goalkeeper Price (36) are first-team regulars, manager Paul Warne values the contribution they make on a day to day basis.

"Both of them do a lot for me and Billy was excellent for me last year before he got injured,” said Warne during the negotiations.

“Also, what he and Lewis bring off the pitch is invaluable.

“Certain people at this club are unsung heroes here and Billy and Lewis are definitely that and they have a massive impact on the younger players as well.

“It is fundamental that if we are to keep a good culture here that we keep the best people and they are two of the best we work with."

Jones played for Crewe, Preston, West Brom and Sunderland before joining the Millers two years ago.

Price signed in 2016 from Sheffield Wednesday, featuring mainly as an understudy.
