BIKER HURT IN SMASH
Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident on a notorious "death road" that left a man with serious injuries.
The motorcyclist was injured after his bike left the road on the A57 Worksop Road, near Todwick, at 11.15am on Friday.
Police said that the blue and white Suzuki GXSR motorcycle, which was travelling away from Sheffield, lost control on a right hand bend just before the junction with Goosecarr Lane.
The motorcycle and its rider left the carriageway and collided with a tree, which left the rider with multiple broken bones.
He was taken by air ambulance to the Northern General Hospital.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the bike before to the collision, is urged to contact the Accident Witness Helpline on 0114 2202970.
