THREE fire crews were called to tackle a deliberate blaze in a bedroom in East Dene.

THREE fire crews were called to tackle a deliberate blaze in a bedroom in East Dene.

Two crews from Rotherham station and one from Maltby were called to a home on St John’s Road at 4.15pm on Sunday (27).

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said firefighters were at the scene until around 6.20pm and there were no casualties.

Chief Supt Rob Odell, of South Yorkshire Police, said the cause of the fire had been identified.
