Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber events to help boost business

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber’s annual Chamber Means Business event returns to the New York Stadium on September 15 and will be marking ten years, while the popular Celebration for Business promises plenty of fireworks at the start of November.

The free business networking event in September features a sellout expo of 50 businesses and speeches from key business players.

Registration is free, and tickets are now available via the event website at www.chambermeansbusiness.co.uk.

Chamber chief executive Andrew Denniff said: “The event is a great opportunity to showcase our exhibitors and sponsors, without who we would not be able to provide such an exciting platform to champion our local businesses and members who join us on the day.

“We are expecting a fantastic footfall on the day, with the occasion remaining a free-to-attend event for all visitors.

“The exhibition creates a whole host of opportunities for local businesses to build their brand and raise their profile, whether that be through sponsorship, exhibiting or simply attending as a visitor.”

The Celebration for Business will be held once again at Magna on November 4, with ten different awards up for grabs and special “salutes” to firms celebrating milestones.

Mr Denniff said: “With this year’s celebration event taking place the day before bonfire night, we wanted to give businesses based in South Yorkshire to chance to create some fireworks of their own.

“We’re hoping to build on the success we achieved in 2021 by creating a chance for members of the local business community to come together, reflect on their achievements over the past 12 months and celebrate the achievements of those businesses who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.”
