Avoid Cortonwood area amid snow chaos, motorists warned

MOTORISTS are being warned to avoid the Dearne Valley Parkway in after lorries were left stranded by the snow.

South Yorkshire Police said: “We've had reports that several lorries have become stuck due to the snow and all lanes are blocked.

“The road is going to take some time to clear so if you absolutely have to travel, please avoid the area and plan an alternative route.”
