Audi driver trapped as car overturns in ditch

FIREFIGHTERS cut free a trapped motorist whose car ended up on its roof in a ditch.

The man, in his 20s, was driving an Audi A3, which left the road at Ruddle Mill Lane, Stainton.

Fire crews from Maltby and Edlington stabilised the car with a winch after getting the call at 10.20pm on Monday.

They then used cutting gear to free the man, who was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital.
