Attic blaze in Kimberworth Park house

FIREFIGHTERS spent two hours battling a house fire in Kimberworth Park.

The blaze on the attic was reported at at 1.15pm on Saturday on Roughwood Road.

Firefighters from Rotherham, Tankersley, Parkway and Rivelin stations attended the incident.

The fire was being treated as accidental, the service said.

Aston firefighters were called out to a deliberate fire involving a moped at 3.15pm on Saturday on Old Colliery Way, Swallownest, Rotherham.

The crew came away at 3.40pm.

A Ford Transit van was deliberately set on fire at 4.10am on Sunday on Park Street, Masbrough.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident and spent about half an hour there.
