Attack victim suffers serious head injuries

A MAN was taken to hospital after a serious assault near a Rotherham supermarket this morning.

Police attended after the incident which occurred near to the Bramley branch of Morrisons, off Bawtry Road, Bramley, shortly after 6am this morning.

The injured man is being treated at Rotherham Hospital, for what are believed to be serious head injuries. A second man  was detained by police.
