Aston man denies stealing watch worth £15,400

A MAN accused of stealing thousands of pounds worth of watches and cash in two raids has pleaded not guilty.

Peter Saville (40), of Cantilupe Crescent, Aston, denied two counts of burglary at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday (5).

He is accused of burgling a home on Cowley Lane, Chapeltown, and taking cash and watches of an unknown value.

Saville is also said to have burgled a home on Kirby Lane, Chapeltown, where he is alleged to have taken a safe containing £2,300, a gold Michael Kors watch worth £15,400, a Rolex watch and a limited edition Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watch.

Saville was remanded into custody and is due to stand trial at the same court on February 5.
