Aston burglar is jailed for 007 watch theft

Peter Saville (41), of Cantilupe Crescent, Aston, burgled a home on Kirby Lane, Chapeltown, last September, taking a gold Michael Kors watch worth £15,400, a Rolex and a safe containing £2,300.

He also stole a limited edition Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watch which was made for the James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

Saville, who represented himself during his trial after sacking his barrister, also burgled a home on Cowley Lane, Chapeltown, last July, taking cash and watches of an unknown value.

A jury at Sheffield Crown Court convicted Saville of two counts of burglary last Friday after deliberating for six hours and 16 minutes.
