Projects Development Manager Emma Sharp, said: “We’re looking for artists to join in and help facilitate the art installation. This project helps to bring communities together from different backgrounds and celebrates the rich diversity we have here in Rotherham.

“Last year’s event was so successful, we’re looking forward to seeing the different types of angel’s which will be created for this year’s project.”

Rotherham Council’s cabinet member for cleaner, greener communities, councillor Sarah Allen, added: “The Festival of Angels project enables people to come together for a joint cause.

"We would like artists to join in and share their ideas and to get their creative juices flowing to help create some beautiful angels.

“We welcome everyone to join in from around the borough and make this year’s project even better!”

Angels have been specifically chosen as part of this unique art project because of their common factor between different faiths and religions.

The angels in this project can be designed in a variety of formats, including: paintings, textiles, crafts or 3D objects made from your perferred choice of materials.

The collected angels will then be put on display across the town centre, and will be seen in shop fronts, art galleries and schools, as well as in in Riverside House.
