Art teacher Lauren Charlton named Young Trader of the Year
Lauren Charlton (26, pictured) was crowned Yorkshire Young Trader of the Year 2018 at the Yorkshire Youth Marke in Leeds.
Her business — The Yorkshire Print — produces hand-drawn illustrations of town and cityscapes, printed on items like tea towels and tote bags.

Hide AdIt earned her a ticket to trade at the National Youth Market, held at Stratford-upon-Avon last Friday, where judges handed her another trophy.
Lauren said: “What an amazing year it’s been for me as a new business.
“I’m so grateful to Dean at Rotherham Markets, for putting me through to the semi-final.
“Also to the National Market Traders Federation for all the help and support — but mostly the opportunity to trade with them.”

Hide AdCllr Denise Lelliott, Rotherham Borough Council’s cabinet member for jobs and the local economy, said: “I’m really pleased for Lauren.
“Rotherham is historically a market town and our traders are proud and committed to trading here.
“We have some blossoming young traders who are developing into fine traders of the future.”
