Arsonists target same street twice in one hour

FIREFIGHTERS attended two deliberate fires on the same street, less than one hour apart.

Staff from Rotherham station visited Fenton Road, Wingfield at 8.15pm, when a wheelie bin was ablaze.

They left at around 8.45pm — but were called back to burning rubbish there just 25 minutes later, at 9.10pm.

Staff left the scene again around 20 minutes after that.

One crew from Maltby station attended a garden fire on Cripps Close, Maltby at 7.30pm.

Staff left the scene around 15 minutes later — the blaze began accidentally.
