Arsonists strike two town centre streets

ARSONISTS struck two town centre streets in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to Effingham street at around 1.50am, when rubbish was alight.

They left the scene around 20 minutes later. The fire is thought to have been set deliberately.

Another crew was called to Water Street at around 2.30am, finding refuse on fire there.

Staff left around 15 minutes later. This blaze is also thought to have been deliberate.
