Arsonists strike over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend

ARSONISTS were at work in Rotherham during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend as firefighters had to attend three deliberate blazes.

A car was deliberately set on fire on High Street, Conisbrough, Doncaster at 5.05am on Saturday.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended the incident. They left 20 minutes later.

A crew was called out on Saffron Drive, Balby, after a shed and fence were accidentally on fire at 12.10pm the same day.

They left the scene at 1.15pm.

Tankersley firefighters attended a deliberate fire involving grassland on Meadowfield Drive, Hoyland, at 3.15pm on Saturday. The crew came away at 4.45pm.

Maltby firefighters attended a deliberate fire involving conifers on Ryton Close, Maltby, at 2.35pm on Sunday. The crew left the scene at 3.15pm.
