Arsonists strike at kids' play area
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a children’s play area after it was set on fire in an arson attack.
A crew from Dearne Station were called to the scene off Barnsley Road in Darfield on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
They used a single hose reel to put the fire out and left after 30 minutes.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the blaze was started deliberately.
