Arsonists start fire on allotments in Thurnscoe
ARSONISTS torched multiple wooden structures at allotments in Thurnscoe last night.
Two fire crews from Dearne and Adwick stations attended the blaze at allotments at Merrill Road at 10.30pm.
A spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said the fire had been started deliberately, adding: "A set of allotments with multiple small wooden structures were set on fire and were well alight."
The crews were on scene for over three hours, leaving at 1.35am.
