Arsonists light two rubbish fires in the space of an hour

FIRE crews tackled two deliberate rubbish fires within the space of an hour last night (Monday).

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to Munsbrough Lane, Munsbrough, at 8.50pm, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

They tackled the fire using a hose reel and left the scene at about 9.15pm.

Firefighters from Aston station were called to Guilthwaite Common Lane, Upper Whiston, at 9.45pm to tackle another rubbish fire.

They were at the scene until 10.05pm.
