Arson strikes in East Dene and Thurnscoe

ARSONISTS set fire to rubbish in both East Dene and Thurnscoe last night.

A crew from Rotherham station was called to the deliberate rubbish fire on Far Lane, East Dene, at 9pm and left after 15 minutes, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

Dearne firefighters were called to a deliberate rubbish fire in Windsor Street, Thurnscoe, at 7.15pm.
