Arson attack on garage damages house

A HOUSE was damaged after arsonists set fire to an empty garage next door.

A window was smashed and there was smoke damage throughout the property on Farquhar Road, Maltby.

Firefighters from Edlington and Maltby were called to the incident at about 3.15am on Wednesday..

The garage was well alight when they arrived, and the heat had caused an upstairs window to smash.

This led to smoke damage inside. No-one was home at the time, and the fire crews were there until 4am.
