Arson attack in East Herringthorpe

RUBBISH was deliberately set alight in an arson attack in East Herringthorpe this morning.

Firefighters from Rotherham station were called to the deliberate fire on Creswick Road at 12.20am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

The fire had spread slightly to a car, the spokesperson added.

The crew left the scene at 12.55am.

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to a deliberate rubbish fire on Lidget Lane, Thurnscoe, at 7.40pm yesterday and left the scene at 8.10pm, added the spokesperson.
